A LITTLE HISTORY
Gerry is a Pacific Northwesterner through and through. Originally from Portland, Oregon, Gerry moved to Washington in 1998 to follow his parents and grandparents who also called Washington State home. Seattle is his home now and he can't imagine living anywhere else. The scenery, the dynamic city life, and yes - the weather is what he likes the most about being here. Family, friends and a busy social life are very important to Gerry; but, he also values his quiet time to recharge and renew.
Gerry graduated from Oregon State University with a BS in Health Care Administration in 1988. While at Oregon State he rowed crew on the Varsity Rowing Team and for many years after university at the club level in both Portland and Seattle. Rowing sparked a life-long passion for fitness. In addition to rowing, he has pursued marathon running, CrossFit training and biking. After a 13-year hiatus, Gerry returned to rowing and is now a member of the Master’s Rowing Team at Mt. Baker Rowing & Sailing Club along the shores of Lake Washington in South Seattle.
WORK
Since late 2002, Gerry has been a Residential Real Estate Broker with Windermere, most recently at the Eastlake office in Seattle. Real Estate is his third career and by far his favorite. He has helped people buy and sell their homes all over the Puget Sound region; however, most of his business falls within the greater Seattle area. As a residential Realtor he focuses on single family homes and condominiums. His business comes primarily from referrals from friends and family, and from his clients. Gerry genuinely believes that in this business success is all about understanding what the client wants, and then laying out plans to help them achieve those goals. Since they are the ones buying or selling a home, Gerry keeps his focus clearly on the clients’ needs. His clients appreciate it and continue to send referrals his way.
RELATIONSHIPS
The common thread in all of Gerry’s work has been building relationships with people - helping them solve their problems or achieve their goals. Developing meaningful relationships with his clients is what Gerry likes best about Real Estate.
Each real estate transaction is unique just like each client and each home. This constant mix of clients and properties provides rich opportunities to exercise his deep knowledge of real estate, and his keen interest in people, thereby feeding his passion for this business.
